BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
There was a change during the 2017 Legislative session as follows:
Minnesota Statute Section 2046.16, subd. 1 requires by December 31 of each year the governing body of
each municipality and of each county with precincts in unorganized territory must designate by ordinance
or resolution a polling location place for each election precinct. The polling place designations are for the
following calendar year.
Attached is a resolution designating the polling locations for the 2018 elections as follows; Precinct 1,
Prairie Center, 8899 Nashua Avenue NE; Precinct 2 and 3, Otsego Elementary, 8125 River Road NE.

RESOLUTION NO. 2017-88
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES WITHIN THE CITY
OF OTSEGO.
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 20413. 16, subd. 1 requires by December
31 of each year the governing body of each municipality and of each county with
precincts in unorganized territory must designate by ordinance or resolution a
polling location place for each election precinct. The polling place designation are
for the following calendar year; and,
WHEREAS, the State Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 14,
2018,
WHEREAS, the State General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 6,
2018,
WHEREAS, the Wright County Auditor's Office is requesting confirmation of
Otsego's polling locations by December 31, 2017, and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Otsego, County of Wright, and State of Minnesota hereby establishes the voting
precincts and polling places as shown on Exhibit A and summarized as follows:
• Precinct 1, Prairie Center, 8899 Nashua Avenue NE;
• Precinct 2, Otsego Elementary, 8125 River Road NE;
• Precinct 3, (combined polling location with Precinct 2), Otsego
Elementary, 8125 River Road NE.
