BACKGROUND/1 USTI FICATION:
As the City Council is aware; City staff has been in the process of laserfiching all city records. This has left us with
33 empty lateral files that are not needed. After making sure no other department needed them City staff
recommends auctioning off the 33 unused file cabinets.

RESOLUTION NO. 2018-05
RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY SURPLUS
PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING SALE
WHEREAS, 33 City Hall file cabinets owned by the City no longer serve any useful
City function; and
WHEREAS, City staff has determined that Public Surplus can properly dispose of these
items for value on the internet or otherwise and provide fair value to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Otsego,
Wright County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the 33 City Hall file cabinets are hereby declared surplus City property.
2. City staff is hereby authorized to proceed with the disposition of the property by
contracting with Public Surplus for sale of the items over the internet, or
otherwise.
ADOPTED By the Otsego City Council this 22"d day of January, 2018.
