on February 12, 2018.

BACKGROUND/J USTI FICATION:
At the December 11, 2017 meeting, the City Council authorized the advertisement of a request for
proposals (RFP) for a Response Time Improvement & Fire Service Model.
The deadline for submitting a proposal was 4:00 PM on January 16, 2018. The City received eight (8)
proposals. Hard copies of each proposal have been distributed to your respective mail box at City Hall.
The City Council has scheduled a special work session meeting on February 12, 2018, immediately following
the regular City Council meeting. Staff is seeking direction from the City Council on how to prepare for this
meeting.
The receipted proposals will allow City staff to complete the remaining steps in the Service Planning Grant
application to the State Fire Marshal's office. The deadline for submission of that grant application is
January 31, 2018.
