A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A NO PARKING ZONE ON A SEGMENT OF 72ND
STREET BETWEEN 70TH STREET (CSAR 38) and PALISAIDES AVENUE WITHIN
BOULDER CREEK 4TH ADDITION.
WHEREAS, 72nd Street between 70th Street (CSAR 38) and Palisades Avenue
within Boulder Creek 4th Addition is a minor collector urban section street designed for
through traffic as well as direct lot access; and,
WHEREAS, this segment of 72nd Street was not designed to allow for on -street
parking of vehicles on one side only to minimize the width of the roadway; and,
WHEREAS, on -street parking of vehicles on both sides of the roadway on this
segment of 72nd Street may cause congestion on the public street and reduce access by
emergency vehicles, which is a risk to public health safety and welfare; and,
WHEREAS, Section 8-3-2.0 of the City Code authorizes the City Council to
designate parking zones by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the segment of 72n
Street shown on Exhibit A within the City of Otsego shall be designated as a no parking
zone to be identified as determined by the City Engineer.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Otsego this 12th day of February,
2018.
