Staff recommends approval of Resolution 2018-24, prohibiting parking along the new portions of 85th
Street and Maciver Avenue that will be constructed in the summer of 2018.

State Aid requires passage of a resolution prohibiting parking along state aid streets not constructed wide
enough nor intended for parking.

RESOLUTION NO. 2018-24
RESOLUTION RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON
S.A.P. 217-113-002 (MacIver Avenue NE) from 80th Street NE to 85th Street NE and
S.A.P. 217-102-009 (85th Street NE) from Nashua Avenue NE to MacIver Avenue
NE in the City of Otsego, Minnesota.
THIS RESOLUTION passed this 12th day of March 2018, by the City of Otsego in
Wright County, Minnesota, The Municipal corporation shall hereinafter be called the
"City", WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the "City" has planned the improvement of MacIver Avenue NE
State Aid Route No. 217-113-002 from 80th Street NE to 85th Street NE and 85th Street
State Aid Route N0. 217-102-009 from Nashua Avenue NE to MacIver Avenue NE in
the City of Otsego, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the "City", will be expending Municipal Street Aid Funds on the
improvements of this Street, and
WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on
both sides of the street; and approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State
Aid Street project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
That the "City", shall ban the parking of motor vehicles on MacIver Avenue NE from 80th
Street NE to 85th Street NE and on 85th Street NE from Nashua Avenue NE to MacIver
Avenue NE at all times.
