Staff recommends hiring the following individuals for the position of Seasonal Maintenance.
Max Wageman $12.50 per hour
Matt Olson $12.50 per hour
Devon Lucht (Returning) $12.50 per hour
Dirk Udee (Returning) $16.00 per hour
Jim Gornick (Returning) $16.00 per hour

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Staff is recommending hiring 4 individuals to fill budgeted seasonal positions in the Street and Park
Maintenance Departments. If these individuals are approved for hire, positions will still be available, staff
will bring forward recommendations for those positions at a later time.
The Seasonal, Temporary & Part -Time Pay Plan outlines a range of $12.00- $17.00 per hour for the seasonal
maintenance positions.
Due to his experience, staff is recommending Matt Olson be paid $12.50 per hour. Staff is recommending
Devon Lucht be paid $12.50 per hour due to his experience and being a returning employee. Jim Gornick
and Dirk Udee are being recommended to be paid $16.00 per hour due to their long-standing employment
with the City and due to the fact, they have been paid $15.00 per hour during their employment in 2016
and 2017.
All recommended staff have undergone an initial interview, reference check, background check, and
passed a drug screening.
