BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Some items that were not clearly defined in the scope of the irrigation system contract need to be added to
complete the construction. The 3 Phase transformer was purchased from Wright Hennepin Electrical
Coop but it was not clear to us that the concrete pad it sits on was not included. The single phase
transformer coines with a base but due to the weight of a 3 phase transformer a concrete base is required
and is not included in the cost of the purchase of the transformer. The quote for approximately 50 SQ FT
of additional concrete pad is $650. Also, the booster station cannot be directly connected to the 3 phase
transformer and a transition electrical cabinet (meter socket) is required. The quote for the transition
electrical cabinet (meter socket) and the electrical cotuiection work is $6180. The casting that completes
the wet well was not included in the wet well portion so adjustment could be made when the booster
pump and pad were set. Uifoiltinately the casting was not included in the plans and specs for the
irrigation system. The casting cost is $300. The original CIP estimated cost for the entire project was
$345,000 and included $30,000 for cowingencies. With this change order the projcct will still be under
budget and we do not atiticipate any further change orders as the project is nearly complete. See attached
