AGENDA ITEM DETAILS RECOMMENDATION: City staff recommends approval of Ordinance 2018-05 Amending the City Code Regulating On -Street Parking. ARE YOU SEEKING APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT? IS A PUBLIC HEARING REQUIRED? No No BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: The attached City Code amendment provides for enforcement actions related to regulating on -Street Parking. The amendment includes verbiage change to include the addition of "recreational vehicles" that may not be parked on public streets, boulevards, ditches and right-of-ways within the City. The draft ordinance was reviewed at the June Public Works Subcommittee with recommendation for approval. BUDGET INFORMATION FUNDING: BUDGETED: N/A N/A ORDINANCE NO.: 2018-05 CITY OF OTSEGO COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE REGULATING ON -STREET PARKING THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: Section 1. Section 8-3-2.b of the City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: B. Trucks, Semi-Tractor/Trailers, Recreational Vehicles and Equipment, and Commercial Vehicles. Trucks, semi-tractor/trailers, recreational vehicles and equipment, and commercial vehicles with a Class -4 rating or higher or an overall length greater than twenty five (25) feet shall not be parked on public streets, boulevards, ditches and rights-of-way within the City. Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and publication.
