RESOLUTION NO. 92-36
RESOLUTION REGARDING THE ASSESSMENT OF COSTS FOR GENERAL
GOVERNMENT SERVICES PROVIDED TO A PROPERTY OWNER AGAINST THAT
PROPERTY DUE TO NON-PAYMENT FOR SUCH SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Mark & Linda Thiltgen the property owner of a tract
of land described as PID No.118 —witnin the City
of Otsego, Wright County, Minnesota did request that the City
review and approved the following: Invoice for Services
Rendered by the City Staff in the amount of 8207.41__
and
WHEREAS, the City, its employees and staff, in reliance upon
said application, did perform review and other work related
to said application in the reasonable amount of $707.41
and
WHEREAS, Mark & Linda Thiitggn was duly billed for such
services and made only partial payment, and still owes the
amount of $207.41 for services rendered; and
WHEREAS, upon application for the services rendered the party
mentioned above was notified that they would be responsible
for all costs related to the application; and
WHEREAS, the applicants were -duly notified that on November
9, 1992 they would be given an opportunity to be heard in
regards to possible assessment of the above costs against
their property; and
WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. 514.67 provides that any governnientai
services provided may become a lien upon real property.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that:
1. The property owned by Mark & LindA Thiltgen and
described as PID No.118-030-000010 hereby be assessed in
the amount of $207.41 for governmental
services provided.
2.. That unless such amount is paid within thirty days or the
date of this resolution, that the City Clerk be directed to
report this amount to Wright County as an assessment against
the property above described, along with interest at the rate
of 12% per annum. (Date thirty days is up is 12/9/92).
