SUBJECT: Fire Study — Draft Report Review
Tonight, the City Council will be reviewing the draft report of the Response Time Improvement &
Fire Service Model prepared by Robert McNally with BeaconGIS. Mr. McNally made a
presentation of the findings within the draft report to the Council and Public Safety Commission on
July 16, 2018. At that meeting, the Council scheduled this Special City Council meeting to allow
adequate time to review the draft report in its entirety.
These items are not in any particular order, but the items below should help to generate discussion:
- Define the desired outcome of this meeting.
- Questions & Answers with Robert
- Obtain feedback from service partners.
- Review the scope of services for the study.
- Does the study adequately address the scope of services.
- What is good.
- What needs more work.
- What is missing.
- Next steps
At the end of this meeting, I would request the Council provide direction to staff on how the study
should move forward.
