OTSEGO CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
OTSEGO PRAIRIE CENTER
OCTOBER 8, 2018

Call to Order.
Mayor Stockamp called the meeting to order at 7:55 PM.
Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Jason Warehime, Corey
Tanner and Tom Darkenwald. Staff: Adam Flaherty, City Administrator/Finance Director; Ron
Wagner, City Engineer; and Tami Loff, City Clerk.
1. Fire Study.
Beacon GIS Consultant Robert McNally was present by conference call and presented the
additional fire study findings requested by the City Council at a previous meeting. Mr. McNally
to present the final findings at the October 22 Council meeting. The City Council asked that the
final report include the full cost analysis (buildings, equipment, etc.) for the scenarios presented
tonight.
Mayor Stockamp motioned to call a Special meeting on Monday, October 22, 2018 at
5:30 PM to review the Fire Study at Prairie Center. Seconded by CM Darkenwald. All
in favor. Motion carried.
City Administrator/Finance Director Flaherty reviewed the proposed changes to the fire district
map for the following year. The City Council concurred with the proposed changes as presented
but directed for further financial analysis of the Gateway North industrial area. This will be
brought back to the City Council at a later date for consideration and possible approval.
2. Adjourn.
CM Darkenwald motioned to adjourn. Seconded by CM Warehime. All in favor.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:52 PM.
