Approve closing City Hall on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 12-1 PM for the Employee Recognition
Luncheon and to close City Hall on Monday, December 31, 2018.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
City staff is looking for approval to close City Hall for one hour during the Employee Recognition Luncheon
on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Prairie Center, and is consistent with past
practice. City staff is also looking for approval to close City Hall on Monday, December 31, 2018. New Year's
Eve Day is not a holiday per the City's personnel policy but tends to be low activity and minimal staff due to
use of PTO. This was discussed at the October Administrative Subcommittee and was recommended for
approval.
