Staff recommends hiring Hailey Loff at $14.00 per hour and Nicole Kalk at $15.00 for the position of
Recreation Leader.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
To further support the recreation program opportunities that the City offers, staff is recommending the
hiring of Hailey Loff and Nicole Kalk as recreation leaders. Hailey has worked for the department in the
past, and Nicole is currently contracted with the City to offer Adult fitness classes.
If approved, the hiring of Nicole would allow the City to offer more fitness options by paying her as an
employee rather then contracting with her to offer just adult fitness classes. This would also allow the City
to have her assist during special events and other recreation programs throughout the year when needed.
Both candidates have undergone an interview and reference inquiry, and successfully passed a background
check.
