AGENDA ITEM DETAILS RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of Pay Estimate #2 in the amount of $1,048,322.85 to RL Larson Excavating, Inc. for work completed on the 85th Street and Maciver Avenue Improvement Project. No No BACKGROUND/J USTI FICATION: Pay Estimate #2 includes payment for grading streets to subgrade, including subgrade corrections, along all of Maciver Avenue north of the interim lift station and 85th Street. The contractor has started preparing street subgrades in the area around the Nashua Avenue roundabout. This roundabout is part of phase 2 and will be completed in 2019. All of the forcemain pipe has been installed, and only the manholes remain to be completed. Approximately 65% of the storm sewer is included with this payment. The contractor is currently installing the watermain and making connections to the existing forcemain and watermain. The site is being prepared to stop construction for the year after Thanksgiving. Construction will resume once road restrictions are lifted in 2019. We anticipate one more payment for the work completed in 2018 before the end of the year. Pay Estimate #2 is for $1,048,322.85.
