ORDINANCE No. 95-9
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A STORM SEVER TAX IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
ENCOMPASSING PORTIONS OF THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA OF THE RICE
LAKE/FOSTER LAKE WATERSHED.
The City of Otsego ordains as follows:
Section 1. Authority. The council is authorized by Minnesota
Statutes, Chapter 444 to establish by ordinance a storm sewer
improvement tax district within which the council may acquire,
construct, reconstruct, extend, maintain, and otherwise improve
storm sewer systems and related facilities within the district and
within which the Council may levy a tax on all taxable property
therein to finance the cost of such improvements, including
maintenance and the payment of principal and interest on
obligations issued in making such improvements.
Section 2. Establishment of District. There is hereby established
a Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District encompassing those
delineated properties either wholly or partially within the
geographical area designated as the Rice Lake/Foster Lake Watershed
and outlined on the attached Exhibit A, which is herein
incorporated by reference.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and publication.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Otsego this 10TH day
of A13ri1 , 1995.
