At that time, the Parks and Recreation Commission recognized the valuable services that youth organizations offer in the Otsego Community. For that reason, the Commission felt it was important to ensure a fee was established by charging a per field fee and not a per participate fee. The following fees are currently included in the 2019 fee schedule. Gty Sponsored users Recognized Youth Associations: No charge Ballfield $75.00/seasonal field assignment Soccer 4v4 Nonirrigated $5,0.00/seasonal field assignment Soccer 4v4 Irrigated $70.00/seasonal field assignment Soccer (Full size field) $100.00/seasonal field assignment All other Users: Monday -Thursday; Baseball $50,00/field/day Monday -Thursday; Field game $50.00/field/day Saturday/Sunday; Baseball $100.00/field/day Saturday/Sunday; Field game $10000/field/day Other Charges: Public Works Staff/Equiprnent Per Sec 2-4-2.E.9 Portable-toilets/Frach Containers Cast incurred Clean up of Site and/or Equipment Replacement A deposit may he required in an amount approved by the Parks and Recreation Commission. Since the establishment of the 2014 field usage fees, organizations are utilizing the fields at an increased rate. These youth organizations are also offering camps during the day which is not accounted for in the current Fee Schedule. Taking into consideration this additional use, and the fact that the field use fees have not been increase in 2014, staff is suggesting the following updated Fee Schedule: City Sponsored Users No -Charge Ballfield $;15/ Seasenal Field Assignfflent $150/ Seasonal Field Assignment Soccer 40 (Non -Irrigated) $50/ Seasenal Field Assignment $75/ Seasonal Field Assignment Soccer 40 Irrigated $79/ Seaseigal Field Assignment $105 Seasonal Field Assignment Soccer Full Size Fields $100 Seasenal Field Assignfflent $200 Seasonal Field Assignment Baseball/ Softball Tournaments $150 Per Tournament Soccer Tournaments $150 Per Tournament Day Cams $20 Per da All Other Users No Change The Following is what the City of Roger's currently charges for their fields: Seasonal Maintenance Fee -- Baseball/Softball/Football/Rugby/Soccer/Lacrosse/Other $ 11.00 (per player per season -res & non res) Estimate # of Participants: Actual # participants: You will be billed for a minimum of 100 participants for season field allocation — Actual participant count due prior to first game Seasonal Field Fee Set Up -- Baseball/Softball (if new) $ 75.00 (per field per season) Seasonal Field Fee Set Up -- Football/Soccer/Lacrosse/Other (if new) $ 100.00 (per field per season) Additional Striping $ 50.00 (per field per request) Recommendation: Staff is recommending that the Parks and Recreation Commission review the information in this memo and make a recommendation regarding the current field usage fees to the City Council. 2
