SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
OTSEGO PRAIRIE CENTER
FEBRUARY 11, 2019

Call to Order.
Mayor Jessica Stockamp called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM.
Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Corey Tanner, Tom Darkenwald, Jason
Warehime and Tina Goede. Staff: Tami Loff, City Clerk.
1. Advisory Commission Interviews.
The Council interviewed the following applicants:
a. Ms. Sandy Lander; Public Safety Commission
b. Mr. John Braun; Public Safety Commission
C. Mr. Daniel Eggen; Public Safety Commission
d. Ms. Cara Husak; Heritage Preservation Commission
e. Mr. Matt Killam; Parks and Recreation Commission
f. Mr. Aaron Stritesky; Planning Commission
g. Ms. Kitty Baltos; Parks and Recreation Commission
h. Mr. Jim Kolles; Planning Commission
The City Council concurred to reappoint Jim Kolles and Aaron Stritesky to the Planning
Commission; Kitty Baltos and Matt Killam to the Parks and Recreation Commission; Cara Husak
to the Heritage Preservation Commission and reappoint John Braun to the Public Safety
Commission. There was discussion on the three additional Public Safety Commission applicants
which included applicant Vern Heidner who was interviewed by the City Council on January 28th,
2019.
CM Tanner motioned to appoint Vern Heidner to the Public Safety Commission with
term to expire 2022. Seconded by CM Darkenwald. Motion carried 3-2. CM
Warehime and CM Goede voting against the motion.
A resolution appointing the above commissioners will be added to the February 25, 2019 City
Council consent agenda for approval. City Clerk Loff will notify all the applicants.

CM Darkenwald motioned to adjourn. Seconded by CM Goede. All in favor. Motion
carried. Adjourned at 7:20 PM.
