BACKGROU ND/J USTIFICATION:
In October 2018, the City received the completed Response Time Improvement & Fire Service Model. Since
that time, the City has already put in place the following recommendations:
1) Revise Fire Service Coverage Area Boundaries
2) Implement Automatic Aid (Dispatch) for Confirmed Structure Fires
The City's Strategic Plan outlines that Otsego is committed to delivery of quality emergency service
responsive to community needs and expectations in a cost-effective manner. In order to remain focused on
this strategic vision, City staff is recommending a special meeting to provide opportunity for review and
discussion of the City's Response Time Improvement & Fire Service Model.

Motion to call for a special City Council meeting on March 11, 2019 immediately following the 7:OOPM
Regular City Council meeting to be held at the Prairie Center to provide opportunity for review and
discussion of the City's Response Time Improvement & Fire Service Model.
