Project No. 19-02 to Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation (ASTECH).

BACKGROUND/J USTIACATION:
Bids were opened for the 2019 Street Micro -Surface Project, City Project No. 19-02 on February 19,
2019. A total of one bid was received as shown on the attached Bid Tabulation and as listed below:
1. ASTECH Corp. $129,768.60
ASTECH Corporation of St. Cloud, Minnesota is the apparent responsible low bidder. The engineer's
estimated construction cost was $154,718.74. The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) estimate was
$292,494.84.
We recommend awarding of the contract to the low bidder, ASTECH Corporation. ASTECH has completed
Street Maintenance and Micro -Surfacing Projects within the City of Otsego in the past. The work was
completed to specifications and in a timely manner.
