Staff recommends approval of Sunram Construction, Inc. Pay Request #4 in the amount of $12,616.00 for
the construction of Norin Landing Park.

BACKGROUND/J USTI FI CAT[ ON:
Construction of Norin Landing Park began in August 2018 and is slated for completion in the spring of 2019.
Sunram (the Contractor) has submitted their fourth pay request in the amount of $13,280.00. In
accordance with Minnesota State Statue 337.10, the City is withholding the maximum 5% retainage of
work completed, which accounts for $664.00. After factoring the 5% retainage, the pay request is for
$12,616.00.
Included with the Contractors's 4th pay request, is 610 cubic yards of site material that has been moved to
the large berm located in the south end of the park. Originally, this material was going to be hauled away.
However, after conferring with the contractor, neighbors, and the City Engineer, relocating the material on-
site and creating a larger berm was more cost effective and aesthetically appealing. The estimated cost
savings by relocating the material on-site rather than hauling it away is $12,960.00.
