City staff is recommending that the City Council approve the hiring of a seasonal employee.

BACKGROU N D/JUSTIFICATION:
Matt Olson is being recommended as a summer seasonal employee for the Streets Department. Matt was
employed with the City in 2018 and assisted with general maintenance items and did a great job. He has
completed and passed a pre-employment background check and drug tests. It is expected that Matt would
be able to start employment as early as April 9, 2019.
