City staff is recommending that the City Council approve the hiring of Matt Meister for the Streets
Maintenance I position.

BACKGROUND/J USTI FICATION:
Staff has recently concluded interviews for the Street Maintenance I position. The City received 11
applications with 4 of the 11 meeting the minimum qualifications for an interview. After the interviews
were concluded, staff felt that Matt Meister was the most qualified for the position.
He is currently working as a seasonal employee for the City of Corcoran and has some great work history.
His reference calls all went very well and he has passed the required background check and pre-
employment drug testing.
