ITEM 3.2B SCC 5.13.2019 MinutesITEM 3.213 SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING OTSEGO PRAIRIE CENTER MAY 131 2019 Call to Order. Mayor Jessica Stockamp called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM. Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Corey Tanner, Tom Darkenwald, Tina Goede and Jason Warehime. Staff: Adam Flaherty, City Administrator/Finance Director. 1. Discussion of Marketing City Owned Properties. A. 5:30 — Arrow Companies Representatives Steve Fischer and Chad Weeks from Arrow Companies were present and reviewed each of the three parcels owned by the City. There was discussion on some of the challenges of the properties including the need for fill soil, deed restrictions and existing special assessments. There was discussion on their proposed marketing efforts and market expectations. Arrow Companies highlighted that they have been in business for 15 years and also offer general contractor services and sometimes can be a one-stop shop for end users. Arrow Companies thanked the City Council for the opportunity to meet with the City. B. 6:15 — Commercial Realty Solutions Representative Wayne Elam from Commercial Realty Solutions (CRS) was present and reviewed each of the three parcels owned by the City. There was discussion about the current development market within the City and the surrounding areas. CRS specifically noted there is a current shortage of existing buildings and that in his opinion that this is the best market since 2005, although prices have not yet risen to prices back then. CRS outlined their proposed marketing efforts and expectations. CRS highlighted that they have been in business for 10 years and that they now have 8 staff including a new office in St. Cloud. CRS thanked the City Council for the opportunity to meet with the City. The City Council reviewed each of the discussions with City Administrator/Finance Director Flaherty. There was discussion regarding the different marketing efforts and the expected listing prices. The City Council directed City Administrator/Finance Director Flaherty to send the applicable deed restrictions, soil fill estimates and special assessment amounts to both Arrow Companies and CRS. Further, the City Council is hoping that information will help generate a more educated proposal for consideration at a future meeting. 2. Adjourn. CM Warehime motioned to adjourn.
