City staff is recommending that the City Council adopt a resolution accepting a donation.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
A Utility Department staff member is willing to donate a golf cart to the Utility Department for use at the
East Wastewater Treatment Facility. The cart is functional and will be beneficial to operations and will be
used for personnel and equipment transport to various buildings and processes on the site.

RESOLUTION NO: 2019-26
ACCEPTING A DONATION TO THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego is generally authorized to accept donations of real and personal property
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03 for the benefits of its citizens, and is specifically authorized to
accept gifts; and
WHEREAS, the following persons and entities have offered to contribute the item set forth below to the
City; and
Robert Small Golf Cart
WHEREAS, the terms or conditions of the donations are that they support the Public Utilities Operations of
the City; and
WHEREAS, all such donations have been contributed to the City for the benefits of its citizens, as allowed
by law; and
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks the aforementioned persons and entities for their generous
donations and for their support of the community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donations offered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the donations described above are accepted.
