BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Bank of Elk River continues to make the promotion of health and wellness in the Otsego Community a
priority. To show their commitment, they would again like to partner with the Otsego Parks and
Recreation Department to provide free and reduced recreational opportunities throughout the year. Some
of these opportunities include: 2019 SOAR Theater Productions, Farmers market, and providing free and
family entertainment.
2019 will mark seven years that The Bank of Elk River and the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department
have partnered to provide greater access to recreational opportunities within the Otsego community.
During that time, The Bank of Elk River has donated approximately $40,000 and hundreds of volunteer
hours.
The Otsego Parks and Recreation Department is thankful for The Bank of Elk River's contribution and
commitment to the Otsego Community and looks forward to continuing this partnership in 2019 and
beyond.

RESOLUTION NO. 2019-30
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE BANK OF ELK
RIVER TO THE OTSEGO PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, The Bank of Elk River has made a cash donation of $6,000.00 to the
Otsego Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the donation to the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department is for
the purpose of supporting provisions of community events in Otsego; and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations or
real or personal property be accepted only with adoption of a resolution of the
governing body; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks The Bank of Elk River for their
generous donation and for its support of the community; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Otsego, Wright County, Minnesota that the donation by The Bank of Elk River is
hereby accepted.
ADOPTED this 10th day of June, 2019 by the Otsego City Council.
