BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
To support the current service levels in the Parks and Recreation department, staff is recommending hiring
Rachel Haskow to work in both divisions of the Parks and Recreation Department. Rachel will work
approximately 20 to 30 hours in the Recreation department covering for planned staff absences, and the
remainder of Rachel's hours will be devoted to Parks with a focus on maintenance in and around Prairie
Park. Rachel's hourly rate will be $13.00 during her work in Recreation and/or Parks. Rachel has undergone
an initial interview, reference check, background check, and passed a drug screening.
