At the October 28 City Council meeting the City Council voted to table the pay estimates until
the November 4'h budget work session and directed staff to gather more information and
present a complete project budget.
Staff have worked in conjunction with Kinghorn to put together a comprehensive budget which
summarizes the progress of the project and estimates how much of the project is left to
complete. Using these numbers, staff also put together an estimate on the funding it will take
to complete the project and identify potential savings.
Since the project is not yet complete these potential savings are only estimates and may not
reflect the final project savings. Staff will continue to work with Kinghorn to keep the project
budget up to date tracking the progress until completion.
Also included with this for memo for discussion are add alternates the council had requested at
the October 22nd Special Meeting. Quotes that are Staff are still waiting on are Exterior Building
signage and an additional quote for the insurance work for the penthouse on the roof.

RE. Prairie Center Item List
Below are the costs for swapping out the accordion doors with hard wall partitions. The partition in front of the council will
need to utilize some of the small storage room to the left for stacking the doors. The larger partition wall will not need a
sheetrock cavity and will stack on the inside wall.
These are the direct costs.
Replace the large accordion door with partition wall: $26,,210.00
Includes ceiling pathing,
Replace small accordion door: $22,297-00
Includes drywall changes, flooring, ceiling and a new door.
Thank you,
John R. Studer I LEED AP
