City Administrator; Daniel Licht, City Planner; Andy MacArthur, City Attorney; Ron W gn r, City Engineer; Daniel J rd t,, Administrative Services Director; Kurt Nel ermeler, Utilities Operator Su pervis r and Tam i Luff, City Cleric, r 2014 Budd City Attorney MacArthur gave ars update on right of way acquisition on the 70th street project. City Attorney MacArthur said the City will need new appraisals to be approved by the City Council on December 9,. 2013, because the original appraisals will be almost a year old when the propel is acquired. The City Council agreed. City Administrator Johnsen and [.utilities Operator Supervisor I eid rr eier reviewed the water and sewer budgets which included discussion on utility locates. Utilities Operator Supervisor i eiderr eler made the recommendation t bring locates ire -house to the Utility_ Department; after discussion the City Council agreed it would be most cost effective to have Hakanson Anderson Engineering continuo to be responsible for locates for the City. The City Council directed item 204- small equipment for locates to be removed from CIR Utilities Operator Supervisor i lerderr ei r is recommending ars additional full time staff member ber which is.5 FTE more than the original projection for operations of the utilities. The additional .FT.5FTE for 2014 is for tasks s the utilities staff has recently taken on that are in addition t operations. There was discussion on those tasks,. s, the City Council consensus was they do not feel comfortable adding staff with the information provided; the City Council directed City staff* to evaluate if the utilities staff snow plowing is beneficial and also if inspections of water connections should go back to metro West to free up the utilities staff to handle some of those , FTE hours requesting. Utilities Operator supervisor I erderrneler- will gather more information and bring back to the City Council for review. City Administrator Johnson and Administrative services Director Jordet reviewed the budgets for Building Safety, street Lighting, and Storm water- In and Out of District., The City Council agreed with no changes. 2.
