Prairie Festival.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Otsego Prairie Festival was held on September 14, 2019 with an estimated attendance of 7,000 people.
There were over 100 vendors and over 145 car show participants.
In order to provide a variety of affordable activities for all ages the Festival Committee works with area
civic groups and businesses to provide monetary donations and volunteers.
Over 80 volunteers from various organizations helped to make the Festival a safe and fun event. These
organizations included Otsego Rod and Custom, Otsego River Riders, Cub Scouts Pack 90, Otsego Lions, Elk
River Lions, Boy Scout Troop 390, Special Olympics, and The Bank of Elk River.

OF THE 2019 OTSEGO PRAIRIE FESTIVAL
WHEREAS, the following Sponsors have made cash donations to the City
of Otsego for the 2019 Prairie Festival; and,

WHEREAS, the donation to the City of Otsego is for the purpose of
supporting provisions of community events in Otsego; and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 465.03 requires that all gifts and
donations or real or personal property be accepted only with adoption of a
resolution of the governing body; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks the before mentioned
businesses and community organizations for their generous donation and for their
support of the community; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Otsego, Wright County, Minnesota that the aforementioned donations are
hereby accepted.
ADOPTED this 231h day of September, 2019 by the City Council of the
City of Otsego.
