City staff is recommending that the City Council discuss their desired process and timeline for City Attorney
interviews.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
On August 12, 2019, the City Council approved a Request for Proposals (RFP) for municipal legal services.
The RFP was distributed by the City Administrator/Finance Director to the following firms:
- Jovanovich, Kadlec & Athmann, PLLP
- Eckberg Lammers, P.C.
- Rupp, Anderson, Squires & Waldspurger, P.A.
- Campbell, Knutson
- Kennedy & Graven Chartered
The RFP outlined that proposals were to be submitted to the City by 4PM on September 17, 2019. The City
received proposals from four of the five firms above. The firm of Jovanovich, Kadlec & Athmann, PLLP did
not submit a proposal.
In accordance with the RFP, the City Administrator/Finance Director has evaluated the proposals and is
recommending the City Council interview each of the four firms who submitted a proposal.

at the (location) to interview firms who submitted proposals for municipal legal services.
