On September 23, 2019, City Administrator/Finance Director Flaherty recommended the City Council

City staff is recommending that the City Council call for two special meetings.

BACKGROUND/J USTI FI CATION:
On August 12, 2019, the City Council approved a Request for Proposals (RFP) for municipal legal services.
The RFP outlined that proposals were to be submitted to the City by 4PM on September 17, 2019. The City
received proposals from four legal firms.
On September 23, 2019, City Administrator/Finance Director Flaherty recommended the City Council
interview each of the four firms who submitted a proposal. The City Council concurred with this
recommendation and provided direction to setup interviews.
In accordance with this direction, City staff has arranged for the City Council to interview each of the four
firms per the following schedule:
Wednesday October 23rd
- 60OPM: Rupp, Anderson, Squires & Waldspurger, P.A.
- 715PM: Kennedy & Graven Chartered
Thursday October 24th
- 60OPM: Campbell, Knutson
- 715PM: Eckberg Lammers, P.C.
Time has been allotted so that each firm will have up to 60 minutes for discussion with the City Council
with an additional 15 minutes for City staff and City Council deliberation.
