BACKG ROUND/J USTI FICATION:
Minnesota Statute Section 20413.16, subd. 1 requires by December 31 of each year the governing body of
each municipality must designate by ordinance or resolution a polling location place for each election
precinct. The polling place designations are for the following calendar year. The attached resolution
designates those polling locations for the 2020 elections (March 3, August 11 and November 3) as follows;
Precinct 1A, Prairie Center, 8899 Nashua Avenue NE; Precinct 2A and 3, Otsego Elementary, 8125 River
Road NE.

DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES
WITHIN THE CITY OF OTSEGO FOR 2020
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 20413. 16, subd. 1 requires by December
31 of each year the governing body of each municipality and of each county with
precincts in unorganized territory must designate by ordinance or resolution a
polling location place for each election precinct. The polling place designations
are for the following calendar year; and,
WHEREAS, the Wright County Auditor's Office is requesting confirmation of
Otsego's polling locations by December 31, 2019, and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Otsego, County of Wright, and State of Minnesota hereby establishes the voting
polling places as follows:
• Precinct IA, Prairie Center, 8899 Nashua Avenue NE;
• Precinct 2A, Otsego Elementary, 8125 River Road NE;
• Precinct 3, (combined polling location with Precinct 2A), Otsego
Elementary, 8125 River Road NE.
