AGENDA ITEM DETAILS RECOMMENDATION: City staff recommends approval of a resolution appointing Election Judges for the 2020 Elections. ARE YOU SEEKING APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT? No No BACKG ROU ND/J USTI A CAT] ON: Minnesota State Statute 2046.21, Subd. 2 require the City Clerk to make the recommendation of election judges to the City Council at least 25 days before the election. Wright County has notified City staff that there is a vacancy in the office of the State Representative District 30A, a special election is necessary to fill this vacancy to ensure representation for the citizens of District 30A. A special primary, if necessary, will be held on January 14, 2020 and the special election will be held on February 4, 2020. The attached Resolution includes recommendation for appointments for Precincts 1A, 2A, and 3.
