OTSEGO HERITAGE PRESERVATION COMMISSION MEETING

Call to Order 6:59 PM.
Roll Call
Commissioners: Chris Wilson, Cara Husak, John Waldron, Kathy Beaudry
City Council: Corey Tanner
Absent: Toni Seroshek, Gail Anderson
1. Consider Agenda
Agenda Approved.
2. Minutes Review
Commissioner Cara made the first motion to approve. Commissioner Kathy seconded
that motion. Minutes approved for February with amendment to update Cara’s last
name in February’s Meeting Minutes.
3. OHPC Projects
a. Jacquie Rognli Interview for Otsego View – Commissioner Gail and Commissioner
Chris – tabled for next meeting
b. Otsego View Historical Highlights – Commissioner Toni - tabled for next meeting
c. Otsego taped interviews – Commissioner Toni - tabled for next meeting
d. Legal Release Document – Councilman Corey worked with the city attorney to
review the older document to see if it is still valid. Councilman presented a newer
version with all essential information to be given to the signer. This will be
needed for all future OHPC projects for written consent. Final review/approval
will be tabled until next meeting.
e. Murder article for the Otsego View – Commissioner Cara presented an article.
She will make spelling updates and will seek approval next meeting.
f. Century Home Recognition Program – Commissioner Cara presented Anoka’s
usage of the sign program. She will present a proposal for implementation for
the program in Otsego next meeting. City Commissioner Corey will find out more
information on usage of city’s signage vendor.
g. Bank of Elk River in Otsego City Photos – Commissioner Kathy brought donated
historical city photos (Elk River and Otsego) from the Bank of Elk River for
potential display in the Otsego City Hall. Mayor Jessica was able to see and will
plan as to where to put them on display.

h. Archival database – Commissioner John presented a software that might meet
the needs of the HCP. It has many elements that are sortable and can be
customized. He will load a few items into the software and present in next
meeting. Councilman Corey will find out who in the city needs to finalize its
approval.
i. Facebook images of historic Otsego. Councilman Corey
j. Historical Barns and Schools in Otsego – Commissioner Chris and Commissioner
John created an Image Usage Post Card for residents to keep as they take
pictures around the City. They could use this and the Legal Release Document
as part of the project.
5. Camcorder that uses/reads 8mm MP GX metal 120 – Heritage Day 1999
Councilman Corey will bring to next meeting.
