CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE RELATED TO BIOSOLID
DISPOSTAL SITES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Section 5-3-2 of the City Code (Solid Waste Collection and Disposal -
Definitions) is hereby amended to revise the following definition:
SL-UDGEBIOSOLID: Any solid, semisolid or liquid waste generated from a Municipal, commercial or
industrial wastewater treatment plantfacility, water supply treatment pla�facor air contaminant
treatment facility, or any other waste having similar characteristics and effects, Minnesota Statutes
section 116.06, subdivision 21.f
Section 2. Section 5-3-8.13.5 of the City Code (Solid Waste Collection and Disposal -
Waste Disposal Facilities and Methods) is hereby amended to read as follows:
5. SludgeBiosolid Disposal Sites: Sites designated bye the City Go nGil for which the
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued a permit to the City for use for
disposal of sludgeland application of biosolids generated by Municipal wastewater
treatment plaRtsfacilities owned -a; d-,eFated by the City shall be exempt from the
prohibition established by subsection B1 of this section.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.
