Staff recommends approval of payment #2 in the amount of $43,510.00 for the Lift Station #7, City Project
No. 19-03 to Kuechle Underground, Inc.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
This payment includes work completed through June 3, 2020. Kuechle Underground, Inc. has completed
the removal and site restoration of the interim lift station this spring. All lift station and valve manholes
including all appurtances and control panel have previously been installed. The lift station is now up and
running. Some punch list items remain to be addressed therefore some items are only partially being paid
for at this time.
The construction of the new lift station driveway and final site grading and restoration is waiting for
Magnolia Landing to construct the turn lanes along Co. Rd 137 before this work can be completed. Staff is
attempting to get a schedule from the developer for the completion of this work.
In accordance with Minnesota Statute, the City is withholding the maximum of 5% retainage of work
completed, which accounts to $7,774.11 at this time.
