CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE ESTABLIHING THE SEPARATE
OFFICES OF CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Chapter 2 of the City Code is hereby amended to include the following
provisions:

CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES

2-7-1 City Clerk and City Treasurer
2-7-1: CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER:
A. Separate offices of the City Clerk and City Treasurer are hereby established
pursuant to Minnesota Statue 412.02, Subd. 3.
B. The accounting duties of the City Clerk are delegated to the City Treasurer and
the City Council shall provide for an annual audit of the City's financial affairs in
accordance with the minimum procedures prescribed by the State Auditor
C. The City Clerk and City Treasurer shall be appointed by resolution of the City
Council.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and publication.
