Elk River r Ambulance Coordinator Steve Di t nner reviewed the history of the Elk Fiver Ambulance service. He stated that following recent meetings with City Administrator Johnson new service delivery model that includes an emergency response vehicle will begin in - April 2014. The addition of this emergency response vehicle that goes out before the ambulance will reduce response time by gating one emergency responder to the scene without having to wait for an on call EMT to respond to the station. The Elk Fiver Ambulance is funding two emergency response vehicles and has worked with Allina to schedule paramedics to staff the vehicles. Mr. Dittbenner discussed the coordinating of 911 calls with Wright and Sherburne Counties, Allina, and Elk River Ambulance. Wright County dispatch supervisors were part of the meetings at which this change was discussed. Elk River Fire Chief John Cunningham and Allina Medical Services Ambulance Coordinator Bruce Hildebrandt were also present. The City Council thanked them for their efforts. . CM Schroeder motioned to award the Well Head Protection Plan Amendment study to Barn Engineering in the amount of $12,135. Seconded by CM Heldnen, All in furor. City Attorney MacArthur said yes. M Darkenwald motioned to adopt Resolution 2013-S9 adopting assessments for root'Pointe Addition in the amount of ,,.00 per lot. Seconded by C Worhi. All in favor. Motion Carried. . City Council Reports and Updates. There was discussion ambulance service. CM Heidner recommended the nevi ambulance program be highlighted in the Otsego vier and the City Council recommended a joint meeting with the Wright County Sheriff once the program is started. City Administrator Johnson stated they were planning to do so closer to actual program implementation in April. City Administrator stated Otsego residents living within eight minutes of an Elk River fire station now qualify for the current openings for Elk River Firefighters. . Staff Reports rt and Updates. City Administrator Johnson said a liverlidr informational meeting will be held at Prairie Coater on December 19 and also that City Engineer Wagner will be attending the upright County Transportation meeting on November 19.
