BACKGROUND/J USTI FICATION:
Usually the City Clerk is required to canvass the local election results between the 3 d and loth day following
an election. This election year, due to COVID and the Absentee Ballot processing date extension of 7 days
following the election, the City must canvass the local election results no later than November 13.
Therefore, City staff is recommending calling a Special Meeting on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 6:00
PM at Prairie Center for the purpose of canvassing election results.
