No No BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: Strategic Planning The most recent Strategic Plan (the Plan), was developed in February 2020 through a facilitated discussion including the Council and staff. One of the focused implementation steps was to provide at least an annual meeting to evaluate progress, measure success and provide direction on implementation of the Plan. The City Council has concurred that this annual meeting should rotate bi-annually between external and internal facilitation methods. The last annual meeting was held on February 7, 2020, and was facilitated by Huel-ife. City staff is recommending this annual meeting be scheduled for March 8, 2021 at 6PM. Fire Protection Services In 2018, the City commissioned a Response Time Improvement & Fire Service Model study, which was completed by BeaconGlS. With any planning document, it is important to dedicate an annual review process to evaluate the study, monitor progress and consider recommendations. With newly elected councilmembers, City staff believes it is a good time to conduct the annual review session. City staff is recommending this meeting be scheduled for March 22, 2021 at 530PM. Human Resources / Assistant City Administrator Interviews The City Council approved this new job description at the February 8, 2021 meeting, with City staff advertising the position. The timeline for the recruitment process identifies finalist interviews with the City Council. City staff is recommending this meeting be scheduled for March 29, 2021 at 530PM.
