Councilmember Floyd Roden introduced the following resolution
and moved for its adoption:
RESOLUTION # 93-67
RESOLUTION PROHIBITING PARKING ON
COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY 39
OTSEGO, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego recognizes that bicyclists
use the paved shoulders of CSAR 39; and
WHEREAS, the easterly segment of CSAR 39 from STH101
within the City limits is a designated bike route; and
WHEREAS, CSAH39 is planned to be a major bike route
within the City's bike route and trail system; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to encourage a safe bicycling
environment for users.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL f THE CITY
OF OTSEGO, WRIGHT COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA,
1. That Wright County designates, sign, and mark CSAH39 as a
bike route from STH101 to the westerly City limits.
2. That all parking be prohibited on CSAH39.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilmember Ron Black and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor of:
Norman F Freske Doug Lindenfelser Floyd Roden
Larry Fournier Ron Black
and the following voted against same:
NO ONE
and the following were absent:
NO ONE
and the following abstained:
NO ONE
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted by the Otsego City Council this 25TH day of
October,1993.
