Call to Order.
Mayor Jessica Stockamp called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM.
Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Doug Schroeder and Tom
Darkenwald. Absent: Councilmember Jason Warehime.
Staff: Lori Johnson, City Administrator; Dan Jordet, Administrative Services Director; Andy
MacArthur, City Attorney; Daniel Licht, City Planner; Brent Larson, Associate Engineer and Tami
Loff, City Clerk.
1. Consider Resolution 2014-01 supporting the construction of and participating in a
portion of the funding for improvements to 70th Street from LaBeaux Avenue CSAR 19 to
MacIver Avenue.
Associate Engineer Larson presented the staff report. CM Heidner asked if the City of Albertville
will be signing the same resolution of support. Associate Engineer Larson said yes it will be
presented to their City Council. He said the dollar amount of the local share has not been
determined yet. City Administrator Johnson said the County will be adopting a resolution of
support at their meeting on January 7. She further stated she spoke with Adam Nafstad,
Albertville City Administrator, and he stated Albertville is willing to pay their share of the cost for
submission of the application.
CM Heidner motioned to approve Resolution 201401 supporting the construction of
and participating in a portion of the funding for improvements to 70th Street, from
La Beaux Avenue (CSAH 19) to MacIver Avenue. Seconded by CM Da rkenwa id. All in
favor. Motion carried=
2. Discussion on appraisals for 701h Street Protect; this portion of the meeting to discuss
appraisals will be closed under Minn. State 13D.05 Subdivision 3 C.
The meeting was closed at 5:34 PM. Discussion on appraisals for acquisition of easements for
70th Street Project, properties abutting proposed and existing 70th Street and CSAH 37,
including PIDs 118-800-245200,118--122-001080, 118-122-042080, 118-500-304300, 115-500-
3112001 118-500-311100, 118-500-293300, 118-500-322200, 118-500-293400, 118-500-
3222011 118-500-322202, 118--500-321100, 118-500-294200, 118-500-294201, 118--500-
294100, 118-500-294400, 115--500-294402, 118-500-332200, 118-500-283300, 118-500-
2944011 118-500-283302, 118-500-283301, 118-500-283403, 118-500-283400, 118-500-
332100 and 118-500-332101.
CM Schroeder motioned to continue the closed meeting for discussion on appraisals
for the 70th Street Project until January 13, 2014 following the regular scheduled
meeting. Seconded by CM Darkenwaid. All in favor= Motion carried.
Mayor Stockamp motioned to reopen the meeting at 5:56 PM. Seconded by CM
Da rkenwa id. All in favor. Motion carried.
