BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: Is committed to delivery of quality emergency service responsive to community needs and expectations in a cost-effective manner. The City Council discussed this topic at a meeting on March 22, 2021. The City Council directed City staff to Is a social community with diverse housing, service options, and employment opportunities. City Council. Per a recommendation from the State Fire Marshal's office, City staff has arranged for a Is a distinctive, connected community known for its beauty and natural surroundings. AGENDA ITEM DETAILS RECOMMENDATION: City staff is recommending that the City Council call for three special meetings. ARE YOU SEEKING APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT? IS A PUBLIC HEARING REQUIRED? No No BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: Fire Protection Services The City Council discussed this topic at a meeting on March 22, 2021. The City Council directed City staff to explore grant opportunities and to seek qualified consultants to discuss fire protection services with the City Council. Per a recommendation from the State Fire Marshal's office, City staff has arranged for a consultant to be at the May 10, 2021 special meeting, which will be scheduled at 530PM. City Hall and Public Works Space Planning Wold Architects and Engineers last presented to the City Council at a meeting on April 12, 2021 to review facility analysis findings. The next steps include development of concepts, which will be a topic of the May 24, 2021 special meeting, which will be scheduled at 53013M. Financial Statement Audit The City annually prepares a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). In accordance with Minnesota Statutes, the financial statements within the City's CAFR must be audited on an annual basis. Said audit has been completed by BerganKDV, who will present the findings of the audit to the City Council at a special meeting on June 14, 2021, which will be scheduled at 53013M.
