Before the redistricting in 2012 the City owned two M100 voting machines. In 2012 we purchased a
used M100 for Precinct 3 in the amount of $4,250 plus shipping and programming. We currently have
3,612 registered voters for Precinct 2A and 3,831 registered voters for Precinct 1A. After the last
election the need for additional machines was apparent.
In the 2014 CIP $8,700 was recommended for the purchase of an additional machine for Precinct 1A and
an additional machine for Precinct 2A. I received the attached quote from Elections Systems & Software
in the amount of $4,250 (used) each plus shipping and programming. I do not need the training as they
are identical to the machines we already own. I would recommend the additional $400 not budgeted in
the CIP come out of the Election supply fund. This item was reviewed by the Administrative
Subcommittee in January and recommended for approval.
