RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council accept a $2,500 donation from the Rogers -Otsego Youth Baseball
Association for the installation of water and electric at the Baseball/ Softball Complex.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Rogers --Otsego Youth Baseball Association has generously donated $2,500 for the installation of
potable water and electrical service at the Prairie Park Baseball/ Softball Complex, The estimated cost
of the project is $11,000, which has already been approved as a 2014 Capital Improvement Project. Part
of the approval of this project was to get donations to help offset some of the City's cost.
We are thankful for the Rogers -Otsego Youth Baseball's contribution for improvements at the Prairie
Park Softball/ Baseball Complex.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE
ROGERS-OTSEGO BASEBALL ASSOCIATION
TO THE OTSE G O PARKS AND RE CREAIT ON DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, The Rogers -Otsego Baseball Association has made a donation of
$2,500.00 to the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the donation to the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department is for
the purpose of supporting provisions of field improvements in Otsego; and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 455.03 requires that all gifts and donations or
real or personal property be accepted only with adoption of a resolution of the
governing body; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks the Rogers -Otsego Baseball
Association for their generous donation and for its support of the community; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Otsego, Wright County, Minnesota that the donation by Rogers --Otsego Youth
Baseball is hereby accepted.
ADOPTED this 10'h day of February, 2014 by the Otsego City Council.
