RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council approve the recommendation from the Prairie Center Re -
Use Committee to paint the lettering and logo on the dais stone sign for $400.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
At November 25th City Council meeting, the Council voted to approve the installation of a stone
sign on the dais with the City's logo engraved into it. On their walk --through of the building on
January 14, the Prairie Center Re -Use Committee recommended that the lettering and logo on
the stone sign be painted. The Committee felt the detail of the logo and lettering was not visible
if someone was sitting in the audience for a Council or Commission meeting. Staff recommends
that Stoneworks Architectural Precast, Inc., which is the company that manufactured the stone,
do the work. The work would involve taping the area around the stone and cutting out the tape
around lettering and the logo, the paint is then applied by airbrushing onto the area.
