BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The City Council approved a final plat and execution of a development contract at their meeting on 10 May
2021 for the proposed Prairie View Estates development. Section 10-5-3.13.8 of the Subdivision Ordinance
requires that the final plat be recorded within 100 days of City Council approval, unless an extension is
approved by the City Council. This deadline is 18 August 2021. The developer, Prairie View, Inc, is
requesting an extension to 10 May 2022 to execute the development contract and record the final plat.
The extension is necessary due to the unexpected passing of one of the owners of the project.

Motion to approve an extension to record the final plat of Prairie View Estates to 10 May 2022 subject to
the payment of development fees in accordance with the Fee Schedule in effect at the time the
Development Contract is executed and the developer's escrow account being brought current.
