OPEN FORUM:
Concern — Arbor Creek area (Beaudry Park?) is experiencing assorted crime — house break-in, vehicle
break-in, ambulance calls to park, kids bring tools with them to dismantle playground equipment, more.
Residents are currently setting up a neighborhood watch with Sergeant Brian Johnson. Would like more
police partrols, more often in the neighborhood. Officer Olson advised to use non -emergency police phone
number to report problems (such as curfew violations, etc.) — not 911.
Are there non -patrol deterrents that would help, such as age restrictions, surveillance signs, neighborhood
groups to walk the park, change park closure times, surveillance cameras?
Jessica will bring up issue to City Council.
OLD BUSINESS:
Mailboxes — residents can move mailboxes to near side of road on Co Rd 36, 39, 19 & CSAH 42.
Public works will not move mailboxes.
Police Commission will draft and send sympathy letters to the 2 families affected by having to cross a
county road to get their mail. Denise Andrusko will write the letter.
National night out — Denise is contacting surrounding cities to see how their residents register for NNO.
Need Otsego residents to be registered by July 27. NNO is on Aug 5.
Road Clean Up — Paul Fields reports, groups have to apply with Wright Co. to "adopt' a county road for
clean up. Volunteers under the age of 18 need to be supervised, children age 11 and under cannot
volunteer/participate.
John Hinnankamp will post "how to volunteer" information on city website.
Can this be expanded to city/residential streets? Jessica will investigate.
