SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
OTSEGO CITY HALL
February 5, 2014
6:00 PM
Call to Order.
Mayor Jessica Stockamp called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Jason Warehime, Doug
Schroeder and Tom Darkenwald. Staff: Lori Johnson, City Administrator.
1. Advisory Commission Interviews.
The Council discussed the open seats and possible appointments. The Council discussed adding
a second alternate position to the Parks and Recreation Commission. Administrator Johnson
stated she would review the ordinance, and if the current language did not allow for more than
one alternate, she would bring back a revised ordinance for Council adoption. The Council
requested that the Planning Commission opening be re -advertised.
Motion by CM Darkenwald to make the following appointments all four year terms
unless otherwise stated: Dave Thompson, Planning Commission; Lisa Fahey,
Heritage Preservation Commission; Zonja Matushenko, Heritage Preservation
Commission term ending 2015; Paul Fields, Police Commission; Charles Schauss,
Police Commission; Mark Driste, Police Commission Alternate term ending 2017; Jim
Breitbach, Parks and Recreation Commission; Peter Torresani, Parks and Recreation
Commission; Cara Husak, Parks and Recreation Commission term ending 2015;
Corey Tanner, Parks and Recreation Second Alternate. Seconded by CM Warehime.
Motion approved 5-0.
2. Adjourn.
CM Darkenwald motioned to adjourn. Seconded by CM Warehime. All in favor.
Motion carried. Adjourned at 9:16 PM.
