Approve the advisory commission appointments as listed in the attached resolution.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
On February 5 the Council interviewed applicants for advisory commissions. The attached resolution
when adopted appoints commissioners to the advisory Commission as motioned at the February 5, 2014
meeting.

CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING COMMISSIONERS TO ADVISORY COMMISSIONS.
WHEREAS, the City has established advisory commissions including the
Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Heritage Preservation
Commission and Police Commission; and,
WHEREAS, individuals are appointed to serve on these advisory commissions in
accordance with the City Code and bylaws of each body and at the discretion of the City
Council; and,
WHEREAS, the terms of several of the individuals appointed to these advisory
commissions will expire on February 28, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council must make appointments to the new terms of these
advisory commission positions.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Otsego
that the following appointments are hereby made to the City's advisory commissions:
Planning Commission
■ David Thompson for the term expiring February 28, 2018.
Heritage Preservation Commission
■ Lisa Fahey for the term expiring February 28, 2018.
■ Zonja Matushenko for the term expiring February 28, 2015.
Police Commission
Charles Schauss for the term expiring February 28, 2018.
Paul Fields for the term expiring February 28, 2018.
Mark Driste for the alternate term expiring February 28, 2017.
Parks and Recreation Commission
■ Jim Breitbach for the term expiring February 28, 2018.
■ Peter Torresani for the term expiring February 28, 2018.
■ Cory Tanner for the alternate 2 term expiring February 28, 2018
■ Cara Husak for the term expiring February 28, 2015.
